More Information about the Webcast
Thank you for logging on to watch NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse game from the "SpringFling" in Panama City Beach, Questions or problems can be directed to Mr. Gene DeLorenzo at gkdsvision@comcast.net. We respectfully ask that friends and observers who have logged on will utilize the "Pay Per View" aspect of this event. While we know that most webcasts (at the Division III level in particular) are "Free" - that is because most teams have affiliations with regional conferences that foot the bill for the games in conjunction with schools' athletic departments. We do not have that luxury. We are solely a private operation that must defray some costs in an effort to stay afloat and be able to host the "SpringFling" event. It has been a labor of love for 27 years! And, no, the profit margin has never been a factor at all. It is below the margins, so we do ask for your indulgence - and help! - in being able to bring these webcasts to you. For those who are not able to get to Florida during the busy work schedules, etc. that you are involved with - we hope that a webcast will help!
The webcasts will be simple. We do not anticipate a play by play announcer (although you should clearly hear the on-site game PA announcer on your webcast). The camera will pan to the scoreboard after each goal, under IWLCA guidelines. We will use one camera, in order for the "capture card" to operate properly. All games will be on the artificial turf at Publix Park in Panama City Beach, Florida. Again, we appreciate your support and patience in this endeavor. Should the webcast simply not work for you, please communicate with Director Gene DeLorenzo, and we will refund your payment to you when we return to Vermont after the event. Have a great month, everyone!
